CS:GO WON THE SECOND BEST ESPORTS GAME OF THE YEAR 2019


Esports have become popular in this epoch. With it’s massive growth, Many video games have come into the limelight. Statistically, there are more than 50 million players across the globe playing online games.


Recently, the 2019 Esports Awards show hosted in  Arlington, Texas, had organized different categories of awards. One of them was the “Best Game of the Year.” The listed Games were: 
  • STREET FIGHTER 5
  • CS:GO
  • PUBG
  • DOTA2
  • RAINBOW SIX SIEGE
  • LEAGUE OF LEGENDS
  • FORTNITE
  • OVERWATCH
  • CALL OF DUTY BLACK OPS 4
  • ROCKET LEAGUE



League of Legends capturing the top bracket. This game on an average broadcasted 32 million players playing since September 2019; therefore, it answers the question, Why League of Legends winning the Best Game Award Show. Out of all the games, LOL has been leading since ages.



CS:GO topping 2nd on the chart wasn’t expected. Counter Strike since 1999 has a seperate fan base having more than Million followers. Players in CS:GO were vanishing drastically, but the graph spiked higher leaving PUBG and DOTA2 behind. Daily, on an average CSGO has more than 700K players playing online. 
Not just the Esports team of the year, Astralis CS:GO also won the 2nd best Esports Team of the Year, G2 Esports being the obvious winner. This doesn't end here, Astralis CS:GO's Coach Zonic also won the Coach of the year 2019 Award. The Journey for CS:GO doesn't end here, HenryG also won the Caster of the year 2019 Award.

Out of the blue, Rainbow Six Siege Leveling up at 3rd position. Siege saw an average player count of 78,059.3 with a peak of 140,274. That's more than 30% increase of the previous period. Ubisoft must be proud of their developers for their extreme hard work behind its creation.
It might upset Dota2 players, as they were unable to see their game in the top 3 list. Maybe, the 2020 Award show, we might see other games dominating on the chart.
