How To Download Original CSGO Overwatch Demo
WHAT IS OVERWATCH?
The Overwatch lets the CS:GO community regulate itself by allowing qualified and experienced members of the community ('investigators') to review reports of disruptive behavior, determine whether those reports are valid, and apply temporary bans if appropriate.
Minimum criteria to become an Overwatch Invigilator:
Account Status - Prime
Rank - Gold Nova 1 to Global Elite
Competitive Wins - Minimum 150
Choose the version as per your OS.
Install Wireshark and Run it before launching CSGO.
Always run Wireshark before launching CSGO.
Always run Wireshark before launching CSGO.
Select Local Area Network/Ethernet or Wi-Fi based upon your active connection.
Few Logs will appear on screen. Do not bother it.
Now,
Launch CSGO>Click on Download Evidence.
Make sure Wireshark is running before downloading the evidence.
While Overwatch demo is being downloaded switch to Wireshark.
Press Ctrl+F to search, you'll see Display Filter Tab.
Change it to String.
Search for 'valve'
Look for a DNS protocol having the name 'replay.xxx.valve.net' in it. The number xxx is set randomly based upon the demos. Don't search for the exact number as below in screenshot.
Right-Click on it>Copy>Summary as Text
Create a Notepad with any name.
Paste summary in the Notepad.
Switch to Wireshark and search for '730'
Look for an HTTP protocol with /730/xx......dem.bz2
Right-Click on it>Copy>Summary as Text
Paste summary in the Notepad.
Copy the highlighted texts, referring the screenshots below for your respective summaries and club(paste) them together.
Copy the clubbed text and paste it in a browser and hit enter.
The Original Demo will now start downloading!
Navigate to the downloaded location.
Open the file with winrar, extract it and rename it for your convenience.
Copy the extracted .dem file into:
Steam\steamapps\common\Counter-Strike Global Offensive\csgo\replays
Launch CSGO
Press Shift+F2 to start demoui
Click on 'load'
Go to replays folder and open your downloaded demo file.
Note : You first need to watch the Overwatch Evidence demo and determine The Suspect for the Original Full Demo!
You can read the chats if valve's demo isn't corrupted, see everyones' name and open their profiles from the Original Demo.
